SWM Presenting at NHS Net Zero Week

SWM will be presenting about their work on climate change adaptation on 10 July at Net Zero Week, hosted by NHS South East Region.

Organiser: NHS South East Region

When: Thursday 10 July, 11:30 – 12:00

Where: Online (MS Teams)

Open to: All NHS staff and system partners

The NHS South East Region is hosting a full-day virtual event to celebrate UK’s official Net Zero Week which will showcase how Sustainability is being embedded across healthcare. Open to staff across the NHS, this national webinar will highlight just how broad and relevant Sustainability is – and how it impacts every area of the NHS, from clinical care to estates, finance, digital, workforce and beyond.

The whole day runs from 08:00 to 18:00, and Morgan Roberts, Project Manager from Sustainability West Midlands (SWM), will be presenting at 11:30 about the work they have done on climate change adaptation with the NHS. In particular Morgan will be focusing on the Climate Adaptation Framework developed by SWM and Verture, which has been adopted as NHSE official guidance.

If you work for an NHS organisation or one of their Integrated Care System partners, come along and hear about the main requirements and guidance on adaptation in the NHS, including resources to support your journey to building resilience to climate change in the face of all the challenges pressuring the healthcare system today.

If you’d like to know more about the event in general, visit the NHS South East website here.
