This report from DESNZ and Defra highlights how the UK Government is delivering its key commitments on climate and nature in an integrated way
Climate change and biodiversity loss are among the greatest challenges of our time. They are deeply interconnected and so too must be our response. This report, published by UK Government, presents examples of how the UK Government is implementing joined-up solutions to meet its global commitments on climate change and biodiversity loss across England.
The report focuses on priority sectors, including:
- climate and nature integration
- delivery of clean energy
- supporting a rural economy
- restoring our seas
- mobilising green finance
We would be keen to hear SWM Member’s views on this paper and are always interested in your thoughts on whether the Government’s ambitions on climate and nature action go far enough. Does this paper shine a light on best practice, or hide a lack of ambition or progress?
