Adapt to Survive: Adapting the NHS to Climate Change – 12/9/23
This event, which was attended by 78 individuals from a range of NHS Trusts, ICBs and ICSs from across the UK, looked at climate change risks, and their likely impacts, in more detail, discovered why Trusts urgently need to adapt to these risks, what this looks like in practice, and what we’re doing to help them.

SWM Annual Conference: Our Changing West Midlands #AC23 – 13/07/23
SWM's Annual Conference comprises of thought-provoking influential speakers, presentations, and workshops, heavily punctuated with networking sessions and immersive exhibitions from SWM members and stakeholders. On the day, AC23 had over 120 people in attendance and nearly 90 different cross-sector organisations represented from SWM members and stakeholders.

This event provided a selection of examples of climate change adaptation action that is being led or influenced by local authorities. Councils from across England spoke about different projects that demonstrate what adaptation looks like in practice, and how working in partnership, utilisation of funding and integration with other council priorities can help get projects off the ground despite these logistical constraints.

SWM’s 20th Birthday Celebrations: Annual Conference & Awards (10/03/22)
200+ delegates attended our event to celebrate 20 years in the region. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve transitioned into a nationally recognised hub for cross sector excellence in sustainability. Our event shared the highs and lows of the last two decades, showcased the breadth of innovative solutions coming from our region, and looked forward to the next 20 years!

Midlands Low Carbon Sector Study – Final Stakeholder Engagement Conference – 23/2/21
SWM and kMatrix Data Services have been commissioned by the Midlands Energy Hub to provide an evidence-based study to understand the current state of the Low Carbon Sector in the Midlands, where support is needed to help grow this sector, and the role the sector can play in driving a low-carbon recovery from Covid-19. A final stakeholder engagement conference was held in February 2021 to shape the final recommendations report.
